Mattress Guy!!!
We pass a mattress store every day on our way home from work. And they have a large inflatable mattress guy that they put up when it first opened about 18 months ago. So we check for mattress guy every single day to see if he's out. He's not out on rainy or windy days, and now it seems he's only out on Thursdays, Fridays and weekends.
Sydney is always disappointed on the days where Mattress guy is not out. And recently she started asking if she could have her picture taken with him. It took a while to catch him out, but we did, so here she is with her friend, Mattress Guy (so named by her mother, who was just trying to describe the inflatable in a way an 18month old could understand). I wanted to make sure to get a picture now, just in case they stop putting him on display. He's been such a fun part of our daily ride home that I wanted to make sure we never forgot him :)
Up close, he was a LOT bigger than she thought!

A story and a pic
So we had a plumbing issue yesterday. It's a big deal in that we'll have to replace the pipe from the street to the house to the tune of $5-$6k.
But the funny part is that, when the downstairs toilet backed up and water was all over the floor, we immediately assumed that Daniel was to blame. We totally figured he'd thrown something down the toilet to break it. It wasn't his fault - not at all - But he IS the kid who will pull entire boxes of kleenex out one by one, or unroll entire rolls of toilet paper with glee.. So you can see how we assumed what we did.
Poor guy... He's recovered though - and luckily, he'll never know we blamed him...and I'm sure there will be plenty of stuff down the road that he WILL have done...
He's a good kid though - here he is today at our favorite buffet restaurant - We start em young with the chopsticks :) He usually wants to do whatever he sees his sister do....
