We made our annual pilgrimmage to the christmas tree farm today, where Michael and Sydney chose the perfect tree..

And Daniel helped too..

He's HERE!!!!!

Daniel Galen Jones was born at 6:59pm on Thursday, October 30th, 2008. He weighed in at 8lbs, 9 oz and was 21.5 inches long. We're just home from the hospital after staying an extra day for a little jaundice, but otherwise everything went off without a hitch..

PS - I hope Daniel is ready to be a Hoakie :)

Weekly update

A few pics from a suprise vacation at home this week due to a fever in Miss Sydney...

Luckily, the fever did not seem to affect her mood too much. We can't really find a reason for the fever, unless there's a new molar coming in (we didn't think there were any left!), or just a small virus. Luckly she seems better today so I think we are in the clear...

Our big (and very good) news is that I am NOT having Gestational Diabetes this time around. I'm still suspicious that they will call and tell me it was a mistake, but for now I'm pretty happy. I'll still of course watch my carbs but not having to prick my finger 4 times a day for 12 weeks is a VERY good thing...

Our First Post!

In lieu of the pic of the week, we decided to start this blog. Not sure exactly what we'll post or how often, but it seems like it's the perfect place to post pics and videos so that we aren't pestering folks with the Pic of the Week anymore. And, this way it can be about our whole (soon to be expanding) family.
